Default It never rains in california

It pours! forecast says rain all week and we need it,especially up in the high desert where were located.on another note the wifes wolverine came in today and i am very impressed with this little youth rifle.quality seems to be outstanding with great sights and recoil pad, it even came with the starter kit.which included everything except powder.this is the ticket for kids, women and people of small stature in general.and for 150.00 new in box to boot.purchased it from olde english outfitters and they have the full size wolverine for 150.00 new also,no starter kit with that one.would buy the full size model if i had the spare cash.searched and found a lot of info here about loads and bullets.looking forward to trying some 270 gr ball-etts and some 240 xtps with lighter loads for her.nyone that shoots one please chime in..thanks Ray

That Wolverine will surprise you what all it will shot. I have two of them. 85 grains of powder seems to be their sweet spot. Try some Shockwaves out of them sometime.. they do real good.

I happen to have a bunch here that came with my triumph along with the 260gr that came with the wolverine.Ron from buffalo bullet co,suggested the 270 ball-etts for a good light recoil deer load out to 100 yds.have also seen you mention them in various threads with positive results. the easier for her as far as loading and recoil the better.she shoots, but never a muzzleloader and is extremely excited about shooting her new prize.i didn't even dare to open it

The 270 ball-et with 80 grains of powder shoot excellent out of my Wolverine. I have a friend that bought a Wolverine many years ago, and a box of the 270 ball-ets. It took him four to sight in and he's wasting two a year on deer. Its all he hunts with. Even his son shoots them. They are getting hard to find in stores, so if you see them, keep that in mind.
