Default accura scope mounts

I was wondering what scope mounts you guys are using on your accuras? CVA seems to drill/tap too far forward so when you put on regular bases and rings I have to creep too far up on the stock to get the right eye relief. I have seen a couple of options but they are on the spendy side.(40-50 dollars with shipping) and that is just for the base. The standard weaver 2 piece bases need to move back 1-2 inches to work. By the way I have a nikon 3-9 and theu dont have the eye relief of a leupold but a good scope nonetheless. Pics would help a lot....thanks...Doug

I put the Dura Sight one piece ring & mount set up on mine with a Nikon Buckmasters scope. Plenty of eye relief. $28.00 at Dicks Sporting Goods.

These are the sight mounts I use on My ACCURA, I had 2 of the (older style) CVA Universal Inline Scope Mounts, item No. AC1666. They fit and work perfect. If needed I could move the screw fom the front base to the back hole on the mount to give me more room for eye relief, but no need to. CVA now offeres the (Durasight Z2 Alloy Mounts) for the ACCURA, same part No. as the old style, they discontinued the old style.
I tried the Durasight's but they were too high up and they did'nt feel right as I had to raise my head up too high to see through them. I needed the high mount see-thru's because I like to use the open sights If I needed them.
The Durasight (Low-Base) mounts would be too low for this, also they are too low for the scope as there's no room to pull back the Hammer, I could'nt get my finger inbetween the scope and the Hammer. Also if you used the low base you would have to take off the rear sight on the ACCURA for them to fit.
(BP) p.s. Thank's Mike for Posting the Pic!

With the Dura Sight system I used it left about a 3/8 inch gap between the Barrel and bottom of scope. As previously mentioned this can leave a tight fit between the hammer and scope, but the manufactures will always tell you to mount the scope as close to the Barrel as possible, without it touching of course.
