The M700 was made in the only Remington firearms plant at the time it was made. that is the original Illion, NY Factory. They did at the time have a Bridgeport CT. plant that made some of their Ammo.
I was unaware that Remington had bought any barrels from Douglas, Remington has always been very proud of their Hammer Forged barrels. What is the source of your knowledge that Remington ever used Douglas barrels?
