Default Encore 45 1-20" twist load suggestions

Hey guys anyone have any load suggestions for a 45 encore barrel with the fast 1-20" twist?

Try some White Powerstars if you can find them. WhiteRifles may yet have them available. http://www.whiterifles.com/ Contact Steve Brown and see what he says. They SHOULD shoot very, very well from that Encore barrel.
I believe the ones I have are 350 grainers for the .45

For a 1/20 twist you will probably need a loong bullet to get it stabilized, the one UC pointed out is certainly long. Here is another bullet that might do very well in that 1/20 twist. I shoot them from my White (1/24) and they are really accurate and deadly.


Take a look at the Lehigh .40/200 cal - it is really long and with that twist rate you will need a long bullet.

In my 45 I shoot 110 grains of T7-2f, the 200 grain Lehigh and a Harvester 45 cal sabot.

I wish i had that barrel....No i dont....Yes i do. That 200grn Lehigh would be the cat's meow for that twist.

It IS the Cats Pajamas!!!! Shoots 1inch groups in my 1:20 twist NEF 45-70 barrel with the Harvester Smooth Blue sabot

Is that a replacement barrel? I thought the Encore (muzzleloader) only came in 50 caliber with 1/26 twist.

my 1/20" knight super-disc does well with 200g sst's with supplied sabots with 100 to 120g vol. blackhorn lit with fed.209a.those 200g .40 lehigh's interest me and i imagine i'll buy a sample pack and try those too.good luck..........karl
