Default that might have got me in trouble.

Well I have not been out because of finials for school and such. I was planning a xmas hunt and Saturday hunt. Well I check to make sure ml season ended on Saturday and not Friday. Nope neither. It ended on the 20th. heck I went out the other day like the 22nd. I almost shot one when I was leaving cause there where 3 in the road they just walked 0ff to soon. I could see the dnr guys face when I pulled up and told him it was a muzzy kill . I can hear it now. Nice deer mr Harris here is your tag and you ticket. Ohh and do not worry about getting your license next season there revoked

Looks like a little bad hunting luck saved your butt BigTim. Did that myself one time - hunted all day on a wildlife management area that was closed at the time, though areas outside the WMA were still open. I too was "lucky" to strike out that day.

Well the way the DNR change the season dates and the bag limits or sex restrictions on things, you have to make sure you study their pamphlets for the right dates, etc... Glad you were not able to score.

And in Wisconsin, fishing legal catch limits are a nightmare. On this lake they have to be so many inches and you can only catch so many or species. Or this stream, one is legal on is not. I carry my little pamphlet with me and look up what lake I am on. Plus they usually have posted at the boat landings what is legal and what is not. If you want something messed up, let our DNR handle it.

Ya I have read the book cover to cover a few times. Guess I paid little to the muzzleloader dates as till oct 18th I was not planning on getting my triumph but endup giving in and buying it. We have the same issue with fish here. Once I was fishing a river and the CO asked if I knew was off limits due to stocking. I said no and I would leave. Luckly no ticket. It happens I bet they would understand not like it july

I don't know Johnmorris. It's pretty nippy out there right now, and the high over the next few days is predicted to not get above the mid 50's. I'm going to have to wear my long johns for the weekend hunt.

bigtim you sure are lucky, for as long as I remember from befor our Season even starts I know the day it ends. And all through the season I know how many days are left untill it ends. Next year mark the day on your Calander. Someone up above was looking out for you when he scared them deer away!
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
