Default Harvester Scorpion PT Gold 260gr.

Those of you shooting these out of a TC Pro Hunter, which sabot are you finding to have the best fit. I know TC barrels run tight, just wondering what seems to be the norm as far as these bullets are concerned in a TC. Thanks!

I have shot quite a few 300 gr Scorpion PT Golds but not the 260. I use a crush rib sabot with the 300 and it shoots great and loads good.

Default Answer & A Question

I use the Harvester Crushed Rib with the Scorpion PT 300 grn in my TC Omega. Shoots great and loads with nice steady pressure.

I do have aquestion for anyone who has experience with these bullets. I shot a deer at 117 yrds. and failed to recover the bullet. Not due to pass throught but because I forgot to pull it out of the gut pile.

Any insights on terminal performance? Does it hold together on impact?

The harvester short black was a much better fit and more accurate in my PH. The CR were a little too loose for my liking. Your mileage may vary

I've only recovered 2 , the rest were pass throughs. The 2 I recovered had excellent expansion and held together. There was no fragmenting. I've never had a deer run more than 40 yards with 20 yards being more the norm. I have been using shockwaves and barnes this year , but the PT Gold is an excellent bullet.
