Been hearing on the news about the big snow storm folks are having up north. Wondering what its been like for some of ya'll? Here in north Arkansas we had a cold windy wednesday. Temp only got to 33 today. Had some rain tuesday but no snow. I sure hope we dont end up with a big ice storm like last winter, love snow, hate ice.

Six degrees here with a -17 windchill, we didn't get much snow maybe an inch.

Yesterday Morning we got the wind and rain, winds topped out at 67mph++. I lost 3 of my favorite Apple Trees in my yard, snapped them in half like twigs! Neighbors had big trees fall also, telephone poles and wires down everywhere, Bad, Bad, Bad!
I only saw it like this mabey 2 other times, but this time I was'nt so lucky with my trees. I was just praying our 40ft Blue Spruce and Giant ***aneese Locost did'nt fall on out House.
WINDY all night, Tepms fell into the 20's with snow. This Morning still 50+mph Winds with 2-3ft of Lake Effect Snow expected with minus diget wind chills. So much for the last few days of Shotgun Season, we only have till Sunday and it's over. It does'nt look like I'll be Hunting today either! By Saturday it's suppos-to calm down a bit, so mabey the last 2 days of Shotgun Season the Deer will move as Im sure they have'nt moved at all during the last 36 hours and wont move today either.
Starting Monday is out Late 9 Day Muzzleloading Season and as long as were not snowed in it should be a good one.
I wish everyone here North East good luck with this Storm and that you survive it with no Damage!

we got about 7 inches of heavy wet snow yesterday lost power for 2 hours a couple of towns just south of us had no power all day.

Could be worse. CNN just said that, in I think AZ it was, there is like 40 late season elk hunters in the back country that they can't reach. Guys who went in on dry paved roads, and now there's 3 ft of snow for 40 miles on that road so they're not reachable right now. Hope they get them plowed out.
We got 14" of snow and 3 to 5 foot drifts in sw iowa. I can't wait till muzzleloader season opens and I can hit the standing corn fields, I cussed them all bow season now can't wait to hunt them.

Jeezzzz! How do you guys live in that nasty white stuff??? Ice is for scotch and iced tea. It doesn't belong on the ground.
It's a nice sunny fifty degrees down here in Southeastern Louisiana this morning. Looking like rain for the week end with lows in the mid-40's and highs in the mid-50's. Stay warm guys. I sure hope everyone in the storm area escapes without any serious damage.

I Had a 3 foot drift in front of the garage and 9 inches on the ground lots of drifts yesterday. To day air temp is -3 with wind chill st -23 it is snowy an cold. Out late doe season starts today. I guess you hunt off snowmobiles. Doesn't pay no Deer left in this part of Wisconsin.
