Default Gonna order my Deerstalker tonight!

Any last words of advice? I think I will be ordering the .54 right hand percussion. I think I will order some T/C maxi hunters to try out also. Thanks for all the help!

I had a Left Handed Deerstalker Flinter that was one sweet gun.
Good luck and enjoy

Yeah, prepare yourself for buying a Great Plains flintlock within the next year.

I have two 54 Deerstalker's on flint one percussion I love them Power belts work good with a 80 gr load. I also use a 54 sabot and a 50 cal 350 gr remington bullet. TC maxi work good also. And of course plan PRB with 75 gr of 2f goex black.

.530 round ball, .015 - .018 pillow ticking and 80-110gr pyrodex RS or 2f goex blackpowder. CCI #11 mag percussion caps. That round ball will perform on elk size game on out to 150 yards.

Sorry Bill, you'll have to wait until 2010 for your next question. You've used up your 2009 allotment already.
