Default thanks guys, new accura tonight

Thanks to all of you for your input on the accura. I ordered the stainless/black 50 cal. tonight from Cabela's for $289 plus the 20 off promotion. I have a wolf and like the break open feature. Salesman talked me into a knight rolling block earlier this year right before i found out they were stopping production. Darn. 5 shots later the hammer wouldn't stay back and had to send the trigger mechanism to Alabama for repair or replace and lucky i could get that done. Did shoot a doe with it later. Have a older stainless MK 85 that served me well for many years so was disapointed in the new knight. Have the conversion kit for the 209 primer but is so darn hard to get them in place and kind of a pain to clean. Always shoot my deer with muzzle loader and bow here in Iowa. Thanks to all of you that helped me in my decision for the accura and i am new here and hope to enjoy all of you and possibly contribute from all my years of shooting. I also have a T/C Hawken i put together years ago and now trying to get a long range hunter barrel for it but green mountain is behind in production. After you hunt with a muzzle loader it gets in your blood and is so much more fun. By the way i am telling my wife it is all your fault i had to buy the new accura. My story and i am sticking to it.

Blame it on me... I don't care.

You won't be sorry about your choice.

Blame it on me too, good choice, Im sure you'll be Pleased! Let us know what load you end up with and how she shoots for ya. I also put away the Rifle and Shotgun almost been about 15 or so years now, nothing but the Bow and ML for me too.
Your right, it get's in your bones and you feel like an Old time Mountain Man when Hunting, your a at heart Die Hard Traditionalist.
Success to you!

I think age also has something to do with muzzle loaders. After we get all the hotshot compound bows and rifes out of our system we tend to revert back to things that were more fun and fullfilling. I don't even shoot bucks anymore just doe's as i like the taste better. Would have to be a huge rack before i would shoot one. Shot one with the pistol this year and enjoy that challenge also. Matter of fact i am trying to get a long range barrel for my T/C Hawken and think i will hunt some with it next year. I built it myself a long time ago and hangs on the wall. I shoot traditional bows and is more of a rush than my compound. Most of you know what i am talking about if you muzzle load hunt. A few do it for extended season but most just enjoy the one shot challenge and the feel when they go off. Shotgun guys that hunted near me years ago would laugh when they heard me shoot and saw a big cloud of smoke. I always got my deer though. Hard to explain that rush to a diehard modern rifle hunter.
