Default Cva optima pro and remington corelock bullets

I would say the bullet did it job excellent on this large doe out of n.y. in the start of the regular deer season.
My son shot this with his cva optima pro 29" barrel using the remington 275 grain 44 cal. bullet/sabot two trilpe 77 pellets 100 grain of powder. The shot about 80 yards broadside
The deer did go about 60 yards after the shot placed in the boiler room 1/2" hole in 3/4" out excellent blood trail.
The n.y.s. deer season so far turn up 1 doe for meat this year.I myself passed on a few smaller bucks on opening day but we all did see a few deer on saturday .

I had a call today from the butcher who is doing the deer and he said the D.E.C. was in to day and they checked her out at 2 years old
this deer did good on the corn field farms

You get them deer in corn, hay and bean fields and they get nice and big and fat. Good eating too. Congratulations to your son.

I also shoot a .457 405 grain Remington Corelock in a orange sabot. 90 grains out of my CVA Staghorn Magnum and they are real accurate. Never shot a deer with them, but I see no reason why they would not work.

Good luck for the rest of the season.
