Default New York Opening day

On stand at 6:15,legal to shoot at 7:04. I got to sit and enjoy watching the woods wake up. Gray and red squirrles, all kinds of birds, including the turkey that was roosting in my tree, but no deer until 8:10. Nice doe came in on a dead run from my right and spotted me when I swung her way.Her last mistake was to stop and look right at me. The 260 Nosler double lung shot made my day and ruined hers. The tree behind her was painted with blood, hair and lung tissue from 4 ft up to the ground. She still managed to run up the hill for almost 75 yds leaving a blood trail the Govenor could follow. Meat in the freezer now I can hunt for fun.
