Default What kind of sabots with 240 XTPs?

I have a 100 pack of 240 gr. XTP bullets for reloading for the .44 revolver. I would like to shoot these in my Omega.

What kind of sabot does TC package with their 240 XTP bullets?

If the bullets are a .430 diameter try the green Harvester Crushed Rib sabot.

MMP has the contract with TC to provide sabots - so the sabot would be a Green MMP HPH .429-.430/50 cal sabot... but if your barrel is realy tight the 'crush rib' might be the way to go...

I have two Omegas. One is about 3 yrs old and has a quite a few rounds through it. The other is a few months old. I use the Harvester regular green sabots in the older Omega and the crush rib in the newer Omega. The newer Omega has a tighter bore. Not sure if that will change after a few rounds are put through her.
Any case, have taken a doe and a 6 pt this year with the .430 240gr xtp. That bullet has never let me down. Every shot has been a pass through. 90gr vol. B209.

With the TC prepackaged bullets/sabots, the sabots are black.

I just now read on the package " MAG Express sabots with XTP bullets"

Are these black sabots the same as the green ones you mentioned?

Could it be, that MMP makes the green sabot in black for TC?

Similar to how Hornady makes the red plastic tips on their SSTs a different color, then TC slaps their name on it and calls it a Shockwave.

Black sabots are for a .451/.452 45 caliber bullet. I thought the original question was about the .429/.430 44 caliber bullet.

I assumed with the prepackaged TC bullets/sabots, that the bullets were the same dia. as the bullets for reloading.

I didn't know the 240 XTPs came in slightly different diameters.

The prepackaged stuff doesn't state the actual dia. of the bullet.

You know what they say about when you assume
