actually big, I don't think a dehumidifier will work well for you in a 'cold' room. I have 2 in my finished (unheated) basement and they haven't kicked on ever since it got cooler out. When you get a gun safe, I would recommend some way of keeping moisture out. There is a thing called "The Golden Rod" that is supposed to keep out moisture. I put a ceramic light base in my safes and keep a 40 watt light bulb burning in it. As long as it is warmer in the safe than the room, there will be no moisture in the safe.
