Default Inserts soon to be in quanity!!

Once she comes in i can finally finish my Powerbelt Insert mold. I found the perfect threader for straight cut threads. Im hoping the straight threads will help hold the soft lead to the insert even better than the previous Insert thread.

Im going to drill the holes for the .50cal Powerbelts first and see how those come out. Maybe do a 6 to 8 cavity mold to speed things up!

Shes in! A whopping day and half for shipping! Summit racing is awesome!

I got it all put together and turned it on. Runs very smooth and quiet. This thing was well worth the $70! And that includes shipping! I dont know how the hell summit racing shipped this through UPS for $10 and got it here in a day and a half.

As you can see i got the mold already in the vise. I only have a few .45cal powerbelts left so i will make the .45cal mold first and see how it comes out. I need to get a few .50cal powerbelts so i can get the sizing all set up. This is going to be a lot of fun!

Now to stock up on hard lead.

Hard lead should be no problem. Every automotive shop has buckets of wheel weights laying around.

I accidently started to drill one hole off center so i stopped and put it on the other side LOL. Got that one perfect. I will have to go to down sometime and buy some angle iron for the sprue cutter and some 1/4" bolts and some roll pins. This is the beginning of the .45 mold. I found a screw with the perfect thread so once the mold is build i will then thread it last.

Drill press works awesome.
