Default I can't stand it....

I leave for Montana for elk, muleys, and antelope on Friday. How am I supposed to stay focused on work for another week? I had a hard enough time this week.

I just packed up the Omega and loaded speedloaders with 135gr FFg 777 and 325gr .458 FTXs. I taped the new ballistic chart to the comb of the stock. The plan is to use the Omega for antelope. With nearly $2000 into this hunt even as a DIY I cannot justify not carrying the 300WM into the back country (it's a backpack hunt way back) for elk and muleys. Perhaps after a couple more elk I can afford to limit myself to that.

My intel from the local contact is that there are antelope running around like rats (aka "Prairie Carp") and the muleys are stacking up just east of the continental divide. Nobody's talking about the elk so I will not know until Monday when my local buddy gets back from hunting opening day and lets me know what they found hunting through where we will be.

AhhhhH! I haven't hunted anything since last ML season!
