Cabela's brand works good for me. Mount 'em good and they'll serve you well.

Burris Signature Zee Rings. The reason is that in my experience the Omega scope mount (and the Encore for that matter) does not mout parallel to the bore. It angles up slightly as the screw holes are all too far back. You end up using most or all of the travel in your scope to get zeroed in. Then you are not looking through the center of the scope but the edges, which gives worse light transmission.

The Signature rings have hard plastic donuts that hug the scope inside the rings. With the 1in rings these are "0" inserts that have the scope perfectly centered like normal rings. However, you can cheaply buy sets of "1" rings which can be used to cant the front of the scope down toward the barrel to compensate for the crooked scope mount. You end up zeroed closer to the center of the range of the scope.

I now use signature rings on all my guns. If you doubt the integrity of the system my 300WM has worn them for years and served me well on a backpacking elk hunt last year.

That or you can shim up the back of the mount with pop can aluminum. I think the Signature rings are a better solution though I have guns done both ways.

Weaver #410 Gloss base mount. Use them on two Omegas. Rock solid. Can get them at Dick's sporting goods. Never had a problem with vertical or horizontal adjustment. $11-$12 bucks.
