Default Shooting the PA Hunter

I decided to try out the PA Hunter .50 caliber. I was loading 100 grains of Graf's and Sons 2f Black Powder. I was using cast ball and pillow tick patches.

The first shot hit high for a couple reasons.. my notes said aim dead on, but the rifle was shooting high today. So I would aim just under the bull to hit where that major group is. The fliers were just that.. fliers.

I would not have a problem hunting with this rifle. So I am narrowing the list down more..

No I have never tried shooting PA Conicals. All I ever shot were roundball. It seems to like them at least.

From what I understand, that was why they were designed. Same as the Buffalo Bullet ball-ets. Maybe the next time out with that rifle I will try some ball-ets out of it.

Man, you've got to love a round ball shooter Cayugad. You may as well sell off all of those in-lines. (Well, maybe not the Whites.)
