Default Thanks GUYS!

I just wanted to say THANKS for your guys' help and advice over the last couple seasons. Your advice on bullets, powder charges, etc., have really helped us tune and tweak some great blackpowder set-ups.

Last weekend was the special Illinois Youth Season and my youngest son (9 years old) was able to make a perfect 40 yard shot from his T/C Encore Pro Hunter 209x.50. He was using a 250 Shockwave, 100 grains of Pyrodex and a Winchester Triple7 primer. He split the heart and the buck was piled up less than 40 yards away when the smoke cleared! It was honestly, THE most exciting hut I've ever had. My son is now a blackpowder hunter for life! lol !

Thanks again guys

Congrats to you and your son. Those are memories that will last a lifetime. Great pics and a great deer. Thanks to you for passing on the tradition.

Excellent IL-Conrfed. Congratulations to the young hunter on taking a fine animal.

You didn't mention your son's name Cornfed, but I want to suggest a nickname - The Heartshot Kid.

That's awesome! Cherrish those memories and take lots of pictures.

That's a pretty stout load for a 9 yr old. Bravo to him!

LOL! His name is Mathew Hunter (honestly). He knew he smoked him perfectly to.... as soon as he shot he told me that he was straight up the leg and felt like it was perfect.... he was right!

Here's his proof... he just had to take this photo as we were field dressing his prize. lol !

Looking at the picture, at first I thought he did the old take a bite tradition.
