Default Which would you choose?

Hornady 250 or 300 gr SST? 50-150 yards.
Thanks.

If for Deer both will do the job. At those ranges an XTP is a better choice.

I agree, both will do the job. I'm a heavy bullet kind of guy myself and lean toward the 300 Gold Dot or XTP.

Which ever of the two are most accurate. But if accuracy is equal, then I would probably go to the 300 grain bullet.

Either is fine, I see no need for the additional recoil of the 300gr on deer at those ranges. Stay away from bonded 300gr bullets on deer.

The 250 grain SST/Shockwave has worked very well for me on hogs and deer.

Whichever is more accurate. You won't have too much trajectory difference at those moderate ranges. I shoot the 250s. They're a little flatter shooting (muley country= more longer shots) and who needs anything tougher for deer?
