Default To days new inline's at cabeals wow

I stop by the cabelas in hartford ct. the other day and all I can say is wow these inlines are wall to wall.
I did shoulder a few of the new t/c inlines they shure catch my eye also the price tags make you take a second look.
I got home went into the gun safe and there she was my one and only inline sitting next too two flinters thompson center thunderhawk in 50 cal. walnut wood stock, man this gun still has the old number 11 cap set up but it is upgraded to the t/c flame thrower.I yet to have a misfire with it no matter what harsh weather we been threw.I just can't bring myself to part with it the gun still puts excellent groupe together at the 100 yard target using triple 777 85 grains .The bullet it favors are the bufffalo HPBT 375 grainers.I found it will also shoot the 300 grain mag; hornady with the harvester crush rib sabot excellent.
I still have a bottle of triple 777 from a few years back Hey it still looks good and it still fires up.I pick this up about 4 years ago from walmart 9.00 a bottle still to day I can't seem to find them at that price after the m/l season is over.I will switch back to 3F goex when the triple 77 powder runs out.I think the tunderhawk has been with now 8 years and has taken a few nice deer with it.

lonewolf, get out and shoot it. Also buy another one if the fever has you.

I like cabelas, but they are a ripoff when it comes to purchasing a firearm.

I payed $100 less for a T/C Triumph from a local store vs Cabelas

I like Cabelas as well, but you need to know your prices. They don't always have the lowest price. I like their bargain cave but not everything is a bargain there either. Did you know that you can sometimes haggle the prices on things in their bargain cave by speaking with the manager?

Many of the Chain Sporting Good stores drive the prices of the rifles up for profit reasons. That's why when they have a "big sale" everyone is excited about the "great deals." Many times their great deals are just bring then rifle down to a reasonable profit margin.

Also that's why some of you (I still don't know how you do it) can name places on the internet where someone looking for a good deal can save a lot of money on the same rifle they looked at else where.

I am kind of in the same boat as Lonewolf, but I give in and bring a rifle home. I have a Black Diamond XR that should have been the only inline rifle I needed. But I love my Whites, Knights, CVA's, so what's a person to do.

Also I note in a lot of posts people shoot 85-100 grains of powder. Why did we need them magnums again?

Well, I thought I wanted a rifle I could shoot magnum charges in. When I got the Genesis I was all excited to finally try out 150 grains of powder. That was until I realized it shot way better with 100 grains and kicked way less. I'm not sure what the advantage to 150 grains of powder really is. Seems like my Genesis the bullets were almost tumbling. Maybe not but it seemed like they ripped through the paper instead of shooting a hole through. Maybe some guns like it or maybe mine would have with different bullets. Who knows. I will just save money and shoot 100 grains from now on.

Cayugad
There are a few of use out here that will shoot what ever the gun likes[of course I check the pressure] for instance I use 140 gr of BH in my Endeavor with a 200gr bullet which I suppose would be considered a mag load; but I just can not resist them 1/2 inch groups it makes me feel good all day when I get a 1/2 inch group.
My kids started shooting with 90 gr [including the girls]and I would think real hard about it before before I went deer or bear hunting with less in a sabot gun conicals are a bit different situation. I just can't wait to nail something with that 140gr load and a 200gr Lehigh. Lee

I don't think there is a inline out there that will complete a 150 grain charge
I bet if you fire over some freash snow you will see a lot of unburn powder on the ground.
