Default Pedersoli Brutus Ovation

I'm currently looking to pick up another 50 cal smoke pole and noticed that Cabelas had a Pedersoli Brutus Ovation 50 cal at a very attractive price. I'm not familiar with this brand so I was wondering if any of you guys own one and if so how do feel about the safety, accuracy, etc. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

I don't have any experience with this rifle. I do notice that the primer system seems to be a little strange. I think there is an adaptor that has to be taken apart to prime and deprime the gun. This design was originally intended for caps not the 209 primers. Personally if I was going to buy from Cabelas and wanted the least expensive fairly reliable and well known thing available I would opt for the 209 Kodiak magnum that is $149, Actually I would go for the Accura but there is a lot of difference in price.

I inspected the Brutus94 action which I believe is similar to the Ovation.
A couple of close up pictures of it are in the following thread.

http://www.thehighroad.org/showthrea...ghlight=brutus

It has a firing pin contained in a swinging door that's released by depressing a latch wire. The small wire is thin and could be more accessible since it requires using the tip of a finger to isolate it enough to depress. But it's adequately manageable enough to accomplish.
The matte black finish is spartan and will probably need extra care to prevent rust.

I was more impressed with the quality of the Denali, but that does have a more complex action with more parts, weight, barrel length and cost.
The simpleness of the Ovation probably has its benefits, but it's a real coin flip over whether it's worth buying verses spending a little more more money for a much better rifle.
I'm not even sure which scope mounts would be used to mount for the Ovation while the Denali has a factory scope mount included.
