Default Finally did some homework

Sorry guys, bronko22000 here. Someone has been trying to get into my huntingnet.com account and locking it up so I had to re-register.
Anyway, I finally got out after weeks of bing too busy. I sighted in the Genesis after putting the Nikon scope back on. Then I pulled out the old Knight I bought from an online auction for $50.
I tried T7 2f, Pyrodex RS and P. Bullets were 300 gr .430" xtps, 300 gr .451" Sierras, and 300 gr Shock Waves (using Harvester black CR sabots.)
Although I've seen better triggers on Red Ryder BB guns, that little Knight, with open sights, out shot the Genesis with a 3 - 9X scope.
The best load was with 90 gr of Pyro P and a 300 gr SW. It printed 3 shots into 0.67" at 50 yds.
Now I have 2 rifles sighted in and 2 more to go. Next time out I will be taking the T/C Renegade 54 with PRBs and the 50 cal Hawken with the GM LRH stainless barrel.

Shucks Bronko, I know it's disappointing but that's about all you can expect from a $50 gun.

Well guys, finally got my login ID straightened out. I'M BAAAAACK.
I'm debating as to whether to put a scope on the Knight now. Don't know if I will though. The thing is so light. I should be a breeze to carry through the mountains.
Just wondering - Do any of you know how or if the trigger can be improved? I can deal with the weight but the creep is horrible.

Sounds like you need to plan on about 1.5 hours of free time and a tool grade AR stone to start with and a Polish grade AR stone to finish with. The creep can be removed, keep the surfaces flat and do not change any angles; it is most likely tool marks that's causing the problem and when they have been smoothed out the pull will be a lighter as well as smoother with a clean break, it is better to avoid changing any angles until its all smoothed out. You probably wont need to. Lee

On your Knight trigger there is a creep adjustment screw. You have to loosen the bolt on the front of the trigger guard first, then with an allen head wrench turn that bolt from the back side, clockwise I believe. It will take the creep out of the trigger. I had a Wolverine I bought off line and who ever owned it was playing gun smith. He had it all messed up. I did that adjustment and it is 100% better.

Those little Knights are just shooters. It sounds like yours is too. And they are light weight. Easy to carry. And to swing around. I have one Wolverine with the standard stock and a second one with that flat style stock. Both of them are good shooters. I have a 1x scope on my Wolverine and with 85 grains of powder and a .430 300 grain XTP that rifle will just flat out shoot.

As for your Genesis, try two Pyrodex RS pellets and some 250 grain Barnes MZ Expanders.. Mine really likes that load.

Maybe I'll give those Barnes bullets a try Dave. I'm heading down to Cabelas this weekend anyway to check out of trail cameras so I can do some 'lazy man's" scouting.
