I use the Warne maxima one piece steel base and QD rings, I would go with the high to just make sure you have pleanty of clearance. But , the mediums should work just fine

I have the Warne weaver style base and high rings. Medium would have worked but even with the swing hammer it would have been tight. I love the way my scope sets on the rifle.

I prefer the Warne over the Leupold base. A close look at the picture below should provide all the answers. I like the low or medium rings. I have never had a problem with hammer clearance. And I do not even have the swing hammer. I prefer the Warne over the Weaver because the Warne is solid steel. Tom.

Tho there is a lot of option's, I alway's liked the 1 piece set-up. I have also learned it is alway's best to get the scope down on the barrel as close as you can, which has always worked for me.

I use the 3-9-40 Lupy on top of a T/C DUO-RING MOUNT. This gives me approx 1/4" between the bell and the barrel. Perfect!

I've had this set-up for several yrs. These mounts have doubled since I bought mine and I wouldn't pay that price today.

I've have 2 of the Game Reaper DED NUTZ on different gun's, and very satisfied with them. These are percision made and require no lapping.

IMO, I would go with the DED NUTZ in med. height w/your muzzy barrel. You won't go wrong.

I would not recommend using the 1 piece mt. on other Encore barrels w/high mag. scopes. I have a Burris Sig. 6x24 on a 22-250. It was to long for the 1 piece. I could not lay into it and get the scope far enough away from my eye.

The Warne's are very hard to beat.

Never had one, but I like the look of this base that EABCO sells.

I would have to turn it around though. Maximum mounting flexibility.

That one looks like it would get in the way a little when priming and depriming. I think I would turn it around also.

I have used one of these bases. And it is a decent base. They even make a peep sight that fits right on the base. The only problem I have with the base is that it is aluminum. And I prefer a steel base. Also the base is pretty expensive, but it works. Tom.
