I really believe that these are really quite good bullets in both accuracy and terminal performance, although I do not have first hand information on the terminal performance aspect. That should happen this fall.

Now that I have finished the powder comparison - vlelocity testing - my next move will be to adjust the trigger on this Elite and find out which of those two bullets I will shoot for our deer season.

Since the Elite or the Extreme are 1/30 twists (which might be to slow for the 200 - but maybe not) - iwant to find which one of the two might shoot the most accurately. Because of an earlier shooting round with the Extreme I am not so sure that the 200 will not shoot just fine from the the 45's, but I think I might have to slow them down, which is the opposit of the recommended... I did shoot some 185's with 110 grains of T7 the other day and got a 1" group @ 60 - but I know I can do better than that now that I reduced the trigger pull.

Hopefully early next week I can get out to the rock pit - but we are headed for a very hot streak of weather so I am not sure.... I really normally do not shoot a lot in July/August to hot and to dry but I am really itching to find out more about these 45's...

In the .50 caliber department, the Lehigh bullets I tested (250 grain) were exceptional. Easy to load, very accurate as long as I pushed them hard, and while I can not attest to their effect on game (other then what I have read) I see no reason why they will not work just fine. I intend to find out also..

Good luck with them bullets. I will be looking forward to your range report.

130grns of BH209 and there's no problem. It's to long of a bullet to stabilize slower in a 50. The 185 will work just fine in the 45 and 50.It's easier to shoot the 250grn in the 50's.

Have any of you tried these bullets in 50 cal rifles and how did they group with which powder and load. I have really enjoyed being apart of this forum for the last month or so although my wife thinks I found an on line girlfriend,

Now that I am done with velocity testing - I am on a quest to find if I can shoot the 200 accurately in a 1/28 twist or even the slower 1/30 twist of the 45 cal Knight. I will not be able, really I should say I will do not choose to shoot it with the powder load or type of powder, to shoot it at the velocity that some others are so it may not work for me, but I have to prove it to myself....

I did shoot some .40/185's the other day at the end of my velocity testing. Shot them with a 110 grains of t7-2f. They shot a 1" group at 60 yards - but there is no doubt in my mind that I can shave that now that I have adjusted the trigger pull in the Elite.

What bullet are you talking about? The 185grn is just fine in the 50cal or 45cal. The 200grn bullet is the one that's fussy in 1/28 and 1/30 twist barrels. Speed corrects that. If you want some and use a 50caliber ML just buy the 250grn bullets.

I too have found the Lehigh like to shoot best with top end loads. The consistent accuracy with max pressure loads did surprise me though not many bullets will do that. Lee
