Default Just wondering

Just wondering if anyone has a special hunt planned for the upcoming season? Guess i'm gonna take my yearly trip to Ohio and hopefully get to try hunting the hill country in Texas.

A repeat of last year's hunt of a lifetime in Montana due to luck of the draw. Mule deer and elk so far, but have a pending application for antelope as well.

The only "special" hunt I have planned is CO Pronghorn. Probably hunt yotes while I'm out there too. I'm savin' up elk ppoints for now.

Spaniel, from your other posts it appear you are hiking into the Bob Marshal, or another similar type hunt. Are you starting on the 15th of September, or is your area one that starts when general season starts. We are hunting the Little Belts, and have been doing so for over 20 year now. It was nice when i lived in Montana, and could purchase tags over the counter. When we started hunting there our tags cost us $1 each. Now aday it cost about $65 for an old resident fella to get set to hunt and fish there. This year i put in for a antlerless whitetail tag to save money, but will go hunting whether i get drawn or not. I have counted 'coup' many a time when i didn't have a tag.
