Very nice, what kind of flints do you prefer to use?

I use the knapped english flints that Track of the wolf sells. They can be rechipped and used untill there is almost no flint protruding from the cock. Some of them will last 75 -100 shots. During our tourniments we typically shoot 30 shots and it is not unusual to shoot the entire time without having to rechip the flint. I got away from manufactured flints years ago.

Thank you for the complement. Building and shooting these rifles has brought me a great amount of pleasure for almost 40 years. I look at them as an art form that actually does something. I used Minwax stain and the color is jacobean. The top finiish is Minwax satin polyurthane, which gives it a hand rubed lindsead oil look but is actually more durable and waterproof.
