Problem? Scope or Mounts?
Well this afternoon the sun came out and so I went out. But instead of the the Hawkens, I took the Genesis out. Something when kaflooie since last time out. The 300 gr .430" XTPs which normally shoot good out of this rifle shot a 2" group at 50 yds. (hidious). Then I shot 300 gr SWs with Harvester black CR sabots. Fiirst shot 1" high 12:00, shot #2 about 4" high, shot #3 touching shot #1, Shot #4 touching shot #2.
I had switched scopes and put a cheapie Simmons on it. I think I may have wrecked that scope. Looks like I am going to have to reinstall the Nikon Prostaff on it.
Its either the scope or the T/C Gorillia Grip scope mounts. I guess switching scopes on these mounts will see what the culprit is.
Keep your fingers crossed.
