The Best Patch Lube I've Ever Used
Well gentlemen, you know I like to experiment. As a result, I've found the ultimate load for my .54 Great Plains flintlock.
Today I shot my best 75 yard group ever - fifteen shots into a little over two inches. I was astounded. I was shootingone of my standard loads -85 grains FFFg GOEX,a .530 Hornady ball, anda .018 pillow tick patch. I've shot this loadmany times before, butnever got this kind of accuracy. The only thing significantly differentthis timewas the patch lube.
The lube I usedis much more liquid than what I usually use. It's readily available and fairly inexpensive. Smells goodtoo. The best partis that I did not swab once during those fifteen shots.
Here's the target, and a picture of the bottle of lube.

That is some fantastic shooting.
I have been using Bore Butter for years in my FL. I used a spit patch for many years. Until a old timer explained to me that the patch would dry out if left in the barrel for an extended time, and that putting a spit patch in you rifle could cause a rust ring, so I stopped doing that. I wonder will your salad dressing patch dry out?? I doubt if it will. Tom.

April fool
I know it is a joke because the time of the post is 10:30 pm on the 31st. The target is dated April 1st, which means the post was made before the target was supposedly shot. Therefore APRIL FOOL
edited to add: But at least you are living up to your name sorry to spoil your joke

I have found the ranch dressing to give much better results. If I am shooting 50 grains of powder or less I use the ranch "light". You may have something though, these are Italian guns after all.

Semi!
The head line grabbeb my attention right off the bat - I had to look....
The 75 yard group - really shook me - how in the heck could I even get close to that group? I am humbled and pummeled all the way to the ground - on my knees looking up to the Jedi Master of the 54 - wow
The lube... I am shocked once again.... Kraft brand? that is the BPI/CVA of salsa's and it worked that well.... so you are telling me I do not need that $800 stuff...
Pre-cut patches - now I really like that...
But the balls - gotta tell ya I think I have and shoot better BALLS
It is a great April day - I hope
