Not long ago I complained about T/C's Customer service over an episode with a T/C Triumph. After a few emails and phone calls that were never answered.I finally received a email with instructions what to do.It was sent back for the repair the first time, came back in worse shape then it went. This time I sent a letter to the Customer service manager, and a copy of this letterinside the box with the rifle.I received a call a few days later from a young lady in CS.She was going to be reimbursed for my two shippings which I still haven't seen that. The receipts were faxed to her.
The second trip back was a much better experience. It was repaired in a timely manor. The Tech who originally worked on it put a note in the box apologizing for his mistake.A few days after receiving the Triumph back another box was delivered from T/C.The tech once again apologizing for his mistake sent me a real nice T/C hat.He put a little note in with the hat.
I wrote him a note back thanking him and told him we all make mistakes. I really thought that was decent of this gentlemen to go out of his way. I'm stillnot convinced that T/C's CS is what it used to be. It does prove this one particulartech does care about their customers.I did apologize to him for my letter and hoped it didn't gethim in trouble over it. I was poltically correct but told it like it was. I didn't hold back my feelings.
If I see the 30.00 reimbusement remains to be seen.I did ask the tech in my thank you letter if he see's this young lady remind her of the reimbusement she promised.

I for one am certainly glad that things appear to be working out for you with TC. I still remain one of the those people that TC has never failed and I really appreciate that. One example I called them a week ago to get a BP wrench for the new Triumph that I got.. called them on Tuesday - talked to a very nice lady and the package arrived Friday of the same week - if i had know it was goingto be that quick and free I would have ordered some additional parts - not sure what but I could have though of something...

Well, at least they're trying. That's more than can be said about a lot of companies these days. [:@]
He really didn't have to send you a hat or even an apology, but he did both. As for the reimbursement for the shipping, if they do it, it'll probably take a little time. With a large company the CS rep you talked to can't write the check herself and drop it in the mail. It'll probably take a couple weeks to get from her through the accounting system to accounts payable to get the check cut. Wait two to three weeks before you call them back about that. I just hope you got her name and extension.
Good to hear that TC did right... They are under staffed now... They had a bunch of layoffs sometime back...Let's hope S&W don't run them out of business...
Thanks guys, I do feel a little better about T/C then I did.I know at one time their customer service was second to none.I guess that's what I was expecting and didn't receive it.
In today's times allot of companies have changed and gone out of business as we all know. (Don't worry Obama will fix that LOL.)I'm sure we all believe that.
With all the tension and worry if you will even have a job tomorrow puts allot of stress on you.A person doesn't think as clearly under stress. If this was the case or not who knows.
With the tech I know he didn't intentionally make the mistake.Lord knows I've made enough myself over the years.(First marriage was the clincher)
It happens to all of us.You would thinkthat companies would have another person double check repairs to avoid this fromhappening.Especially firearm mfgs where a mistake could prove deadly.
I realize as someone said it might take a little longer then expected getting a reimbursement check. It would be nice getting the check ,if I don't it won't kill me.
I was impressed with the techgoing over and beyond apologizing for his mistakes.Him sending the hat I'm sure was his doings and not something management told him to do.
It's all water under the bridge now,the rifle is back in working order. If I were up near Rochester NH I would have to buy thefella a beer.He seems to be a good man you don't find that often today.

Glad to hear you got your differences with TC worked out.
Does anyone know if Greg Ritz still has any affiliation with TC? Other than advertising? I know he owned TC at one time but don't know how the S&W buy-out affected his role in the company...
