Some of you might know that i put a sabot thru the screen of my Chronograph. I should say a sabot broke my screen on the Chrono. I called competition electronics and they said ship it back and they would fix it. The total cost was $44.80 and that included shipping. That's alot better then buying a new one i thought. I figured i would let you guy's no in case this happens to you.
I need to do the same thing for the same reason. Did it with the third shot I fired through it from my Savage. Sabot nailed the screen dead center and it was DOA. Once I get it fixed I'm going to rig up a piece of plexiglass to cover the front of the unit before I fire any more sabots across it.
How long was the turn around time to get yours fixed?
Me too. Put a sabot to the face of my twenty year oldProChrono two years ago. $40 factory repair job with quick turn around. Made aplexiglass shield for it the day I got it back.

When I did mine in I was even trying to avoid doing what I did. I intentionally shot higher through the screens, so the first shot didn't register. The second shot was a little lower and gave me an odd reading. The third shot was just a little lower to get a good read and bam! Dead chronograph! [:@]
I didn't realize that sabots veer so far off so quickly. I had the chronograph at 11', and was shooting almost a foot over it. Mines a ProChrono Digital, so a new one costs around $100, so $49 w/ shipping is a bargain.
Do you have to call them before you send it back and get an authorization number? How did you pay for the repair?
As I recall, I just sent mine in with a letter asking if it could be repaired and how much it would be. Got a phone call saying $40, and I gave them a credit card number over the phone.

Anything that protects the fact of the unit if you are shooting a muzzleloader with sabots is a good idea. The sabot doesn't have enough energy to destroy the unit, but it will break the LCD display and mess up the buttons under it. A small piece of plexiglass and a piece of duct tape would protect it just fine too. Even a thick piece of corrugated cardboard would probably do the trick, but you wouldn't be able to see the display from the bench.
Debris shield is a must for cronos that have the display exposed, I took out two screens before I bought a unit with the remote readout. I have always used the Crony line. I do realize your Pacts do have a longer screen spacing!
