This is a .50 caliber percussion cap model Thompson Center Hawkins I purchased from a forum member. It is a beautiful rifle with excellent stock and hardware fit. If it were not so cold and windy, I would have went out and shot this. I kind of cleaned up the brass a little but the rifle was in very nice shape. I sure hope it shoots as good as it looks. And I am sure I will find something it likes.

I sure can understand why you bought that Cayugad. Everyone needs at least one caplock.

Not hardly. I'm just glad we'll soon be having another range report to read. I'm so horny to go shooting that I'm starting to walk around the house with my Zouave cradled in my arms.

Nice Dave, Very nice.
Looks just like the one I'm working on. I finished the stock with 6 coats of Tru Oil, polished all the brass hardware and screws, cleaned up the lock, trigger and tang, installed a new GM LRH barrel on it. (I only got the stock) Its all together but no pics until I do the finishing touch. Its a secret and if it turns out the way I want, you will all see it. Nothing too gaudy but just a 'touch of class'.
Oh and by the way Dave - now you have a good reason to get a 45 GM LRH barrel. Only $95 - how can you go wrong?

I'm not as good as I'm gonna get - but I'm better than I used to be. "Life without God is like an unsharpened pencil - it has no point."
