Default Any one try 357/45 sabots?

I was down Cabela's on Saturday (when I got the generator) and I grabbed a couple packs of black CR sabots. I noticed some MMP sabots on the rack for 45 cal rifles and .357 bullets. Anyone ever use them?
I'm thinking this might be a great combo for fall turkey with a 110 gr or 125 gr bullet and say 50 gr of Pyrodex P - if its accurate.

I've used the PR bullet .45/.357 sabots with their Dead Center bullets. VERY accurate- I really like them, but don't shoot them anymore because of their high cost. If you want to shoot higher velocities, I'd suggest ordering the orange .357 sabots direct from PR- www.prbullet.com I think the .357 MMP sabots are designed for lower velocities, but I haven't tried them, so I can't say for sure. I've always wanted to play around with some .357 bullets (other than the Dead Centers) but haven't had the time & extra $$$ to invest in it. If you try some out let me know - I'm interested.

Well, did you grab a pack or two of those sabots to play with bronko? I wonder if the 1:30 twist of the GM LRH barrel is suitable for the.357/170 grain Gold Dot or 180 grainXTP, and how fast you could push them out of thatbarrel.

Van - I have no idea. I didn't pick any up cause that would mean I would have to get bullets too.
Then I got to realizing after I posted this that I had tried some 150 gr Nosler .400" bullets along with the 200 gr .400" XTPs and they were just as accurate and hit the same POI at 100 yds. I was using 70 and 80 gr of Pyro. P. As for velocity, your guess is as good as mine.
