Default Question For gleason.chapman?

Hi , didn't you recently post a excel spread sheet of a test of Bullet penetration listing many common bullets?

I have done several searches and can't seem to find it.

Ken
Are you talking about this:

That spreadsheet is on the web in this article by Al Marion:

http://www.snipersparadise.com/tsmag/July03/july03.htm

the spreadsheet is in his article as a spreadsheet, here:

http://www.snipersparadise.com/tsmag/July03/TSD%20Wound%20Chart-MZ.xls

I turned the spread sheet into a JPG so I could put it in Posts, it is here on my Web site:

http://www.the-gleasons.com/Muzzleloader%20Penetration%20Testing%20Results.JPG

The Black Belt Copper Magnum is what is now sold by CVA as the Powerbelt. The chart is great because it attempts to show Wound channel and penetration on the same spread sheet. Hope that is the chart your talking about.

Sure. Just to be clearit was not authored by me, it was authored by Al Marion, but I assume that since your not publishing this for money he is not going to mind. I borrowed his spreadsheet and turned it into a JPG so people can use it, so have at it.

I did a lot of research on Bullet Performance about 5 years ago, and I wrote this up on bullet performance (see bottom of page):

http://www.the-gleasons.com/bullets_penetration_tests_for_mu.htm

I have been a collecting articles and information on bullet performance ever since then. I use to think that "any bullet will do", since I shot for "behind the shoulder". That is NOT true. Any non-fragmenting bullet behind the shoulder will do. Anyway, there ya have it.
