I usually shot something every day. I finished fitting the barrel to this on Sunday. Monday I made/finished the Breech Plug. I fit the forend on Tues. Since Monday 123 Winchester 209s have been threw the gun. This rifle was built to be a Hunting gun, but to me it is also a beautiful!

. It is giving new life to a piece of History. [8D][8D][8D][8D][8D][8D]
This Rifle Started it's life as a Remington #5 1902 Pat. 7mm Spanish Mauser. It had previously been sporterized and wore this wood. Today it wears a 50 Cal. 26" barrel with 1 X24 twist made of Stainless steel.

This rifle was built to shoot the origonal Black powder substitute, yes the breech plug is fitted with a Savage vent Liner. This rifle is a Smokeless Muzzle loader

The Scope is one of my Favorite Bushnell ScopeChiefs VI's 3x9 , it will soon be wearing it's hunting scope, a 20 mm ScopeChief VI,1.5x4.5
The rifle was purposly built to shoot my own cast Boolitz. the gun has been fired with 1 shot each of 80 and 100 gr.v BH209 for referance velocity. (These will be the only non smokeless it ever sees other than going to a Restrictive area that reguires foolishness.) the rest of the shooting will be and has been with IMR4759,XMR5744, and Reloader 7. Yes this is a Smokeless Muzzleloader.

.
The Boolitz below are what it was built to shoot, they are Left: a 260gr. cast boolit from a mold I modified to this shape. it is a clone of the 250XTP bullet that is in the middle. the right Boolit is my "Ultimate MZ Boolit", it is from a LBT mold: 330 gr, .451, smooth sided beveled base, LFN. They ride down the barrel in a HBS plain black short Harvester. at the farm yesterday with the 330s it shot a 3" group at 175 yards, also did 5" at 300 yards.

The assembly in the above photo is my Knight T-Bolts firing pin, I modified it to fire 209s without piercing them , also made a bushing/spacer for the bolt to hold the primer in the BP.
