Default I appreciate you guys...

I belong to several forums and have seen many posts get out of hand...I don't remember seeing where the guys on here get their panties in a wad just because a guy has a different opinion...I for one just don't feel the need to argue on the internet, it seems pointless...

After seeing that many on this forum are "older" I believe that many of you probably feel the same way...

Thanks for making the Black Powder area of HNI a place where we can all exchange ideas and knowledge...

Enjoy your weekend...

Hawkeye, most of the guys in here are very helpful. (I hope they think I'm one too). We have a lot of years behind us and we don't mind sharing our tips and errors with everyone else. Of couse some of us (and I know I'm guilty) do like to throw a little jab once in a while. But its all in fun and most everyone in here has a sense of humor.
Of course that's is not to say we know everything. We sometimes get a tip forthe youngins too.

I joined this site a number of years ago and was part of another forum in which it was strictly a Taditional forum which had a inline section. Well guess what happened, it was a us versus them contest and eventually they blocked all of the inline users from that forum. Some of us on here remember that site andI still wishI knew what happened as I was on vacation and received an email saying we were all blocked. This forum is open and none of us use it as a way to tell all, we all respect each other as we are. After all we (hunters/muzzlenuts) are a dying breed, I heard the other day that the national averages in hunting permits were down by more than 35% last year. Unreal and downright scary if the damn government continues their efforts.

Indiana is trying to get it passed to lower license rates.Double the bag limit on deer, for the top 30 countys related to deer accidents.Extend the season for those countys(gun). They doubled a few years back and it hurt them.I bought my life time license on the last day before they jumped 500 or so dollars. They made 10 million that year on sales, but realized they would never get nothing again. They quit selling life time license's after a year or two.

I agree nchawkeye. There is a lot of information being put out on this forum. While there is some kidding and teasing, it is nevermalicious and always in good fun. There is a lot of good on line friendships here. I feel thankful for some of the on line friendships I have acquired on this forum and others. Also I find it fascinating to talk to others that live all over this great country and Canada and learn of life styles, weather, and just every day things that help us get through.

I personally have a lot of better things to do then argue on non shooting issues or try and promote my own agenda and views. I am aware of the forum for instance that Gotbuck refers to. I am a member there. I was shocked actually when I saw the inline section and those loyal to it, moved out.I have also seen other forums basically kill their membership simply because one member thinks they need to push their agenda or views over all others. I simply like to shoot, and share what I do on the range and in my shop with others.

I think the character trait that is on here is gentlemanly and teachers at heart. Most share their hard won wisdom freely for love of he sport not for ego, most gave that up 20 or 30 years ago. If we can help another get started or share a success that helps someone else we like it. "It says in the scriptures" that a good man shares his knowledge with the storehourse he has stored up, it is true of scriptures and true of MLing, which is an earthly passion we all pursue. I like this formum because I learn new things and I can share what I have learned.

I agree, there are a bunch of great guys on the blackpowder forum, I never see any bickering, unlike the bowhunting forum. Seems like they are alwauys bickering over there.
