Default Fouled or fowled?

I am certainly not the nazi spelling police, but for some reason it really catches my eye every time I see it, so I thought I would at least comment on it.

Fouled: dirty barrel

Fowled: something to do with a bird.

I know I misssspelllll lots of words, but for some reason this one bothers me.

Now start pointing out all my misspelled words!

I don't give a damn for a man that can only spell a word one way.
Mark Twain

It is a damn poor mind indeed which can't think of at least two ways to spell any word.
Andrew Jackson

And that's all I have to say about that.

What if I swab my barrel with a chicken before I shoot?

Tx - you're right. Both are pronounced the same but the correct term(s) are;
Dirty barrel = fouled
Getting crapped on by a bird = fowled

having a buddy get a picture of you getting fowled = priceless

Excellent bronko. Anyone who has ever been "fowled" by a seagull will know the difference for sure.
