Cleaning a Frizzen

Can I clean some spot rust off the frizzen face with 0000 steel wool? I know you don't want to rough up the surface but 0000 shouldn't scratch it too bad, right?

I would not see why not. Although you could shoot it off if possible... :D

I don't see anything wrong with using steel wool on a frizzen - or use a pencil eraser and some tooth paste.

A good frizzen face isextremely hard. It is unlikely that steel wool will even mark it.
