Default No rifling in the end of barrel?

Ok I got the .54 cal renegade today, The gun is in pretty good shape was expecting a little better but its good. Looking in the end of the barrel there is about 1" where there is no rifling i guess to aid in shooting. were the newer renegades made like that or was that something he had done?

It's called a bullet guiding muzzle. Almost all ML's these days have it. It just allows you to set the bullet in the muzzle and get it lines up easier before you ram it.

It must be a TC. They call that the QLA and it is a type of false muzzle. Lee

Yea its a tc. I went to t/c's website, they claim they only remove .0005" of the rifling, I am a machinist I know how much that is. this gun has absolutly no rifling in the first inch or so of barrel. heading to the range in a couple of hours. Will report accuracy when I get home

Perfectly normal. I will also guess you have a single trigger and that your rifle is called a Renegade Hunter. Congratulations on your new rifle.
