Default Which sabot for Gold Dots out of T/C guns?

I've got a Encore-PH and would like to try the 250 gr gold dots. Does anyone have a recommended sabot and powder charge? Thanks in advance!

Both my Mustang and Omega X7 shoot best with Harvester short black sabots and the Gold Dots. For T7 or Pyrodex, I'd start with 100 grains and work my way up in 5 grain increments. You will probably get your best accuracy somewhere between that 100 grain charge and 120 grains.

There is enough tolerance and difference in barrel whip that there is no one answer. Depending on how tight your barrel is
Tight try Crush Rib
normal try Short black Harvester and MMP-HPH 24
If its on of the older ones with a .500+ barrel try the MMP12

It really does depend on your bore.

What sabot have you been using?

I have an Omega that is a 2002 vintage and it has a .502 bore - I use use HPH-24 sabots - I would have to hammer a HPH-12 down the bore with a .452 bullet in it.

If the 24 is to tight there is a HPH-3p-EZ load which is the same sabot that the TC bills as their'super glide' to fit their realy tight bores. And then the 'Crush Rib' is the thinnest.

Which sabots might you have on hand?
