Default range cleaning

When cleaning/swabbing between shots, do you find starting from the muzzle end or the breech end works best

It works best for me since I would have to pull the breech plug to swab from the other end.

If you swab between shots it is impractical to take the breach plug out every shot, I don't know of any one who does. We all do when giving a through cleaning before oil and storing. Lee

When range cleaning, I never take the breech plug out. I just start at the muzzle and work that patch down the bore in short strokes. Working from the muzzle to the breech. After the damp patch you then do a couple dry patches.

Taking the BP out seemed impractical to me but I guess what my question should have been was could one do a better job cleaning from the BP end, looks like after a days shooting and cleaning from the muzzle end you would push the crud into the BP?

The primer on the next shot blows a lot of that out the barrel I sometimes think. Also if you took the breech plug out to swab, you'd run the risk of contamination of the breech threads and that would cause excessive wear on them.

spit & dry patch from the muzzle end with either in-line or percussion rifle.

i've yet to try the bh209 for the inline (no swabbing between shots).
