Default patch thickness??

With the .490 round balls I am using a .015" patch. When I order my .54 barrel should I use a .530 ball or .535 ball because I am planning on using a .015" patch because Ive got a lot of them?

Where are you getting this barrel from? Is this a Green Mountain Barrel?

I'd go with the .530 ball

The tolerance is big enough on these barrels that the best way to deal with that is to try both the .530 and the .535 I have ended up getting the best accuracy from all but one of my .54 hawken and renegade rifle with the .535 and a 18 thou. ticking patch. Lee
