Well 4 days ago i took my nephew back to his moms and before i left i put on the final coat of LMF and it sat there for 4 days until today. I took a rag soaked in Hot water and wiped it down smooth to remove the rough scale and dried it and applied the first coat of Boiled linseed oil onto the barrel and then wiped it down again. 2 or 3 more coats of linseed oil should do it.
Going to order the underlugs and the under rib with ramrod thimbles pretty soon. Also the wedge pins.
that looks real good... that's going to be a sharp looking rifle.

That's a nice looking gun. makes me want to break out my .58 and shoot her.My shoulder hurts thinking about the last range session with it. Less powder and smaller bullet; That's my motto for my .58 now. Good luck with it.
Dang it Mountaindevil - quit showing pics of that rifle stock. Every time I see it I drool all over my keyboard.

I'm not as good as I'm gonna get - but I'm better than I used to be. "Life without God is like an unsharpened pencil - it has no point."
thanks bronko. She shoots 10 times as better as it looks. Both are getting new sights later on this year. Going with the exactly same sights that i used on coreys hawken. Those babies were sharp and sight picture was clean and clear.
