Default Deer won this ML season.... Thanks for all the tips...

Wellmy ML season ended in Ohio yesterday, without a shot. I was reallylooking forward to killing one with the Endeavor. It wasnt by that lack of preperation or trying. Ive shotthe MLs more in the last 5 months, than i ever have 400+ shots. I wanted to thank alot of you for all the great tips and advice. I had that Burris Ballistic plex dialed in to.I still got to test alot of bullets, sabots, and primers. I broke into the 8th can of BH209 friday. I was cleaning the work bench feelingBUMMED out, throwing all the empty containers in the trash....oh well theres always next year

Hope everyone has a safe and Happy New Year BH209 is addicting

Eight canisters of Blackhorn (5 lbs. of power)from Natchez Shooters Supply= $250.20 (including HAZMAT & Shipping).

Five pounds GOEX from Powder Inc. = $99.75 (including HAZMAT & Shipping).

Nuff Said!

Some folks have more money than time to swab between each shot and clean. We would all be still using Goex if there was no difference in performance and cleaning.

I wait until Cabelas sends out the spend $100 get 30 dollars off card, and then i use my points and that, so i rarely have more than $20 a can with tax. Whats better is the sale ad from another store because they match that.

I use my Cabelas card for everything and have the balance deducted from Cking account every month so there is no balance, and just rack up the points. Its free stuff and it doesnt cost anything if you pay the balance off every month.

Next year..revpilot. And think how prepared you are going to be.. That don't mean you can't shoot all winter.

thats a lot of shooting.

i only hunt bucks in pa. with my flintlock.

its more fun NOT to get deer than to get one.

i like telling storys of hunting and meeting people and hearing theirs.

its a LOT of work getting deer by yourself and lot more fun missing a deer and coming out next day all excited to go after him.

our season is almost over for muzzbut i am planning already for next archery season with my BEAR KODIACK recurve from 1965.

its hard hunting here in wmu2g of pa now with herd reduction program.

we used to see 5 bucks a day , now, you are very lucky to see one for 3 months, from oct/now.

its that bad hunting in wmu2g now.

take care.

Well this years late season hunting for me has been a bummer to. We had a 3 day ml hunt in mid dec. and a 3 day rifle hunt after Christmas. Out of those 6 days i saw a total of 0. We always see a bunch of does and small bucks but not this year. Like you said there is always next year.
