Default Is this Traditions breechplug the same as the RemGen's?

I was looking at this breechplug at Bass Pro last night and it looks exactly like the one that's in my Remington Genesis. I was wondering if it's the same one since Traditions makes the Genesis for Remington.

Also, what do you guys use to clean the firing channel in your breechplug? Nipple pick? I have heard some people say they use a drill bit to clean the breechplug, but what part? Are you just using it to clean the nipple? Or are you using an extremely small drill bit that actually fits all the way down the firing channel?

Default RE: Is this Traditions breechplug the same as the RemGen's?

The Remington Genesis was imported into the country under the Remington Logo by Tradition Firearms. They are basically the same thing as a Traditions Yukon. Any part that fits the Tradition's Yukon fits the Genesis. For instance, I am running the bases and rings for the Yukon. The breech plugs and all other parts can be changed around as I understand.

This is kind of common. For instance the Winchester Apex is basically the CVA Kodiak but some say with a better stock. In the Genesis VS Yukon, I do not know if the Yukon is offered with the Stainless Steel barrels.

For cleaning the breech plug I use an old guitar string. The high E (or first string) will go right through there...

This torch tip cleaneris what I use to clean my breech plug fire channels. You can find them anywhere that sells welding equipment. I know I gave less than $5 for mine. I keep it in my range box.
