Default omega z5

Hi
New here and have a question about my omega. The owners manual says that you can remove the trigger guard by loosening set screws and removing the pivot pin. I don't see them (set screws) can anyone help me locate them.
Thanks Jim

welcome to the forum. I don't own an Omega so I cannot help you. I am sure one of the Omega owners will catch this thread.

Thanks for the reply. I don't see that on my z5. Maybe mine can't be removed.

Do not know about the Z5. Mine has 2 set screws and 2 pins that are undercut in the center so you do not remove them only back them out to clear. The Z5 may be different.

Charlie

You have to remove the stock to get at the screws

morgan man

That is one of the things that make the Z5 less expensive than the regular Omega... Less options

I don't think you can remove the trigger assembly on the Z5, which as Sabotloader mentioned makes it more "affordable". Don't worry about it, however. I owe one and bought one for my son this year. Both our guns are tack drivers and the trigger assembly is easily cleaned by taking the stock off. It represents a great value in Muzzleloaders. The blued barrel doesn't concern me one bit because I am obsessive/compulsive about cleaning it.

The only time I ever removed the trigger assembly on my Omega was when I bedded it. Should not be a need for cleaning, some Qtips and oil is enough.
