Default Dang I love that movie!!!

And every time I watch it I want to get me a Hawkins. It is the movie that got me started in ML. Back then I couldn't afford a Hawkins so by the time I was old enough to buy a rifle I settled on a Renegade. Now, after watching Jeremiah Johnson for the millionth time I just can't hold back. I'm going to order me a .54 cal flintlock Hawkins just as soon as I find one. (I know he used a percussion in the movie but I hate registering guns in Canada.)

Merry Christmas to me!!! and to all of you!!!

I watched it last night as well, I have it on DVD, and I would hate to guess how many times I have watched it... Another favorite of mine is Mountain Man with Charleton Heston and Brian Keith..

I Hatchet Jack do hereby giveth my gun to whomever finds it. Probably why I couldn't walk past the 54 Hawken in the gun rack without checking it over looking at the price and taking it home.

id agree! Jeremiah Johnson and Mountain Men are 2 great flicks!! they are usually playing on a rainy day at camp!

i think the Renegade is more like an original hawken than todays hawkens are. i believe they were originally not as dressed and when they were it was usually steel not brass. could be wrong though....been a while since i read up on the subject...everytime i start looking, reading, thinking, i get this burning desire to buy and build! lol

Seems like we are all cast out of the same mould. Probably 2 of the best frontier movies ever.
