Default my knigt usak gets the closing 2 weeks off

got home from work today, pulled the load on my usak. it has been in there for almost an month. had misty foggy day last time I went out with it. the powder came out loose with one little lump in it. took it out side to see if it would ignite. every bit did.

my home made range rod got its first task on this. placed it on the powerbelt. very little pressure the load was out.

getting an real close look at the breech plug. about the first 1/4th of the threads on breech plug are looking warn. inner nipple look little warn. it has maybe 800 shots on it.

I'll load her up with the plug I have now with it's best load. 85grs of pyrodex p and 240gr .430 xtp in an green mmp (tc mag express) sabot. or tc sure fires. to see where it is hitting. if it is not holding than I would on finding an new plug or upgrading.

I was checking my Disc and noticed that it too needs a new breech plug. I wanted to test some pellet loads in it, but decided not to waste my pellets until I can get a new breech plug. The whole face of the plug is about eaten off.

I found another one of those off the wall small rifle primer conversions that was put out. I am going to drop knight email and find out more about it. with out more info about it. I can't justify the $70 for it.

most likely I will just order the new breech plug and be done with it.
