Default Difference b/t Triumph and Omega Z5

I would like to know the difference b/t the TC Triumph and TC Omega Z5. I've looked at TC's website but can't figure out the difference except that the Triumph has a removable breech plug. My local Wally world has 2 Triumphs at $275 and 2 Omega Z5's at $230 (clearancing them out). I found TC has a $50 rebate on the Omega line which would put the Z5 at $180 after rebate. Which is a better muzzleloader? Which is a better deal?---DrAsus

I have both the mechanism is completely different, they are both excellent shooters both very accurate but personally I much prefer the Triumph especially with BH209.
#1 it is easy to prime I can even do it with gloves on, the Omega is hard to get at and it is best to use a horizontal capper.
#2 When it comes to cleaning the Triumph has no blowback so with BH209 I clean only the Breach plug and barrel except a couple times a years I strip all my guns and clean and oil all parts.
The Omega requires a wrench to get out the breach plug and due to some blow back you should clean the action and if you use any thing other than BH do it soon and well.
#3 there is a difference in the stocks, the Omega is designed for use with Iron sights and the Triumph is designed with a high comb for use with a scope. This makes a bigger difference to accuracy inoff hand shooting than 80 percent of shooters every realize.
I hope this helps. Lee

I have shot both. If you will use a scope, get the Triumph. I have found the open sight on the Triumph a bit uncomfortable (the stock is a bit high for open sights). The Triumph is usable with open sights in a pinch but if that is your main way of using the gun, I would go with another. If you are on a stick budget you may want to look at the CVA Optima at WM, I saw it marked down to $175. I think they are pretty good as well.

Well after seeing that Cabela's and GanderMountain each sold the Triumph for $399 or MORE..it was a no brainer. I picked up the Triumph from Wall world and am really excited. I've been wanting a nice muzzleloader to get the jump on the season next year. Now I just have to save up for a scope! thanks for all the replies--DrAsus
