Those using BH209 with Remington STS primers

I've heard that the Remington STS primers will work fine with BH209 and in fact it is a recommended primer in accordance with BH209's website. But I haven't seen a lot of people use them. Most folks I've seen use CCI primers. The problem for me is that the only primers I have available in my area are Remington STS, 777, and Remington KleenBore. And I know 777 and KleenBore are not recommended.

So who uses Rem STS primers with BH209? And have you been satisfied with their performance?

In my area there are three brands of 209'syou can purchase.. Winchester W209, Winchester Triple Se7en 209's, and Remington Kleenbore Primers. Sometimes its a matter of supply more so then desire..

The same is true here. Iuse plain old Winchester 209 shotgun primers exclusively.

So I take it neither of you guys have used Rem STS primers with BH209?...

I use CCI mag primers with BH209...but i also heard that the primers you are talking about will do the job as well. I have bought some but have not fired any through my LRH with BH209 yet.

I use them. they have caused no hangfires on my Omega. Seem to work well.

I use Win 209 primers with Smokeless and Blackhorn. It ignites well.

Hopefully the STS primers work out for me. If not, I'll just bulk order either some CCI's, Federal A's, or Win W209's with my next order of BH209.
