Its always funny to me when you go out to a beautiful area to hunt and see nothing, but then in the least likely of spots you see them. I live in a Suburb, population 90,000+. I am very close to a large Metro area also. My home backs up to some woods and in fact I have some of those woods as part of my backyard. We see Deer daily and its just maddening that I can't harvest one. here is a picture of one that was peering over my fence right after I got back from... HUNTING! grrrrrr He sat there a good 4-5 minutes just looking at me.

(3) There's no need to act stupid, even if you're very good at it. (4) If you eat right and exercise, don't smoke or drink, you're going to die anyway.

You beat me to it![8D]
Yup, bowhunt'n in the burbs is how we do it around here. If you got a buck like that in your yard in Rockland co. NY, look up in the trees, I might be up there.

I really miss my suburban spot that I bowhunted for 4 years. Two of my biggest 3 bucks were arrowed off that stand, and what would have been the two biggest I ever shot got away (one ranged wrong, one equipment failure).
What I do not miss is the once every 3 or 4 deer that they did not run where you planned, and you ended up dragging them out from behind someone's picture window before they got home. After the last time I swore I was done there big deer or not!
I would put some Deer Caine in your back yard so can keep track of that deer, buy yourself an bow and practice and next year go and find your old freind.
